It’s not disputable that Apple products typically define the cutting edge of consumer electronics technology. The iPad most recently proved this. For this reason, today’s news that the company has entered into a licensing agreement with Liquidmetal Technologies has the tech-world wondering what Steve Jobs and company are dreaming up next.
Liquidmetal Technologies “is a leading force in the research, development and commercialization of amorphous metal” whose “revolutionary class of patented alloys and coatings form the basis of high performance material utilized in a range of military, consumer, and industrial products.”
The video below demonstrates some of the properties these amorphous metals possess. Now the question is what will Apple do with them.
