Building on its CinemaTube product line, Brite-View announced today the release of its CinemaGo BV-5005HD digital media player. Like most modern digital media players, it plays most known types of media files, including MOV, WMV, MKV, AVI, VOB, DIVX, and FLV at resolutions up to 1080p. It can access these files from a wired or wireless network, up to two USB storage devices, or an eSATA connected hard drive.
The CinemaGo offers users the ability to download up to three simultaneous torrent streams. In addition, it gives users free access to to MUZEE Internet radio, by which thousands of music, sports, and news channels can be heard. Third party applications like PlayOn and TVersity are also supported, as is streaming of Netflix, CNN, CBS, and ESPN from a UPnP connected computer networked with the CinemaGo.
The CinemaGo BV-5005HD will retail for $149 when it goes on sale later this year. It can be pre-ordered for $109 now. And although its features aren’t “game-changing” by any means, that pre-order price could be perfect from someone looking to make their first foray into the digital media player market.
