If you’re not scared by this video, you need to re-watch iRobot. Sure, there’s innocent robot vacuum cleaners barely frightening enough to scare a cat. But put together a group of 20 mini-humanoid dancing robots at the Shanghai World Expo, and you’ve got the beginnings of world domination. According to Wired, each of the 2-foot tall Aldebaran Robotics Nao robots has an “x86 AMD Geocode 500 Mhz CPU, 2 GB flash memory, two speakers, vision processing capabilities, Wi-fi connectivity and ethernet port” in addition to 25 degrees of freedom. It all makes for a cute song and dance if you don’t consider what could follow.
