We’ve discussed the wonders of in-flight broadband at length on TechClicker. It’s a great way to pass the time and increase productivity on long flights. Unfortunately, it’s not free and the companies offering it are limited. Google, in what can only be described as a brilliant public relations move by a company currently under fire for its book digitization practices, announced today that it is sponsoring free in flight broadband on Virgin America flights between November 10 2009 and January 15 2010. Gogo will provide the service. Detail can be found here. So now you have no excuse to book that flight home!
