To further saturate the digital media player market, Zinnet, a Taiwanese company, today announced that it is accepting pre-orders for its CinemaTube media player.  The device, which plays the usual menagerie of formats and codecs, including h.264, at up to 1080p resolution via HDMI, can be connected to USB hard drives, wired, and wireless networks (with optional wireless adapter).

What makes this player relatively unique is its built in torrent downloader and embedded YouTube XL interface.  The YouTube XL interface allows users to watch YouTube videos in a format optimized for actual televisions, an incremental step in bridging the gap between Internet content on living room televisions.  Also in an effort to eliminate the PC as a requirement for watching digital media, the player automatically downloads torrents.  With its UPnP compatibility, the device can also stream other third party content, such as Netflix, ESPN, and CNN, from a PC networked with the device.

Offered with a promotional pre-order price of $99, this player would be perfect for someone who wants to take their first steps into the digital media streaming market.
